TERMS & CONDITIONS · LAST UPDATED 18 MAY 2026
The rules of the road.
Bookings, payments, and what to expect when you book with us.
Welcome to Fired Paint a Pot Cafe.
These terms set out the rules for using our studio, booking sessions, and buying products or gift vouchers from us. By making a booking or purchase, you agree to be bound by these terms.
These terms don't affect your statutory rights as a consumer. No other terms or variations apply unless we've agreed them with you in writing.
If you have any questions, please contact us at info@firedpaintapotcafe.co.uk.

-
Private events and parties — for birthdays, hen parties, corporate bookings and other group events.
-

We may from time to time amend, add to or withdraw any of our services without prior notice.
3. Bookings and deposits
All bookings are subject to availability. To secure a booking, we may ask for a deposit at the time of booking — this is particularly the case for events, workshops, and private parties.
When making a booking you confirm that the information you give us is accurate and complete, and that any payment card you use is yours and has sufficient funds available.
4. Cancellations and rescheduling
All booking deposits and event payments are non-refundable. However, we're happy to reschedule for another date if you let us know in advance.
The notice period depends on what you've booked:
-
Table bookings — at least 48 hours before your slot.
-
Events, workshops and ticketed sessions (including Fired and Fizz, themed nights, brunches and workshops led by guest tutors) — at least 7 days before the event.
Cancellations or no-shows within these windows will forfeit any deposit or payment made, and we won't be able to reschedule.
We may need to cancel or reschedule a booking in exceptional circumstances (see Section 11 — Events outside our control). If this happens, we'll offer you the choice of an alternative date or a full refund of any payment you've made.
5. Painting, firing and collection
We take great care in glazing and firing every piece. However, painted pottery is a handmade product and the firing process can occasionally cause pieces to crack, warp, or have other imperfections — this is part of the nature of ceramics rather than a fault.
In the unlikely event we're unable to return a piece, we'll offer you a voucher to repaint a replacement piece of similar value. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.
We'll let you know when your piece is ready to collect. Please collect your finished pottery within 6 months. After this time, uncollected pieces will be either disposed of or donated, and we can't be held responsible for items that haven't been collected.
We can't be held responsible for damage to pottery once it has left our studio.
6. In the studio
Children always remain the responsibility of their accompanying parent or guardian. We don't accept responsibility for supervising children — that's the role of the adult they're with. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult, who doesn't need to paint themselves but must remain in the studio with them.
We ask that you take reasonable care with our pottery, paints, and equipment, and let staff know straight away if anything is broken or spilled. If an unfinished piece is broken before firing, we may ask for a contribution towards the cost of a replacement, particularly if the damage was caused by lack of reasonable care.
We sometimes take photos of pottery and the studio to share on our social media and website. We'll always ask your permission first before sharing photos that show people, or pieces that include names, dates, or other identifying details.
We reserve the right to refuse service or ask customers to leave if they are rude, abusive, or threatening to our staff or other customers. In such cases, any deposits or payments made are non-refundable.
7. Gift vouchers
-
12 months from the date of purchase. • Gift vouchers are valid for
-
Vouchers are sent instantly by email.
-
Vouchers can't be exchanged for cash and are not refundable.
-
If a voucher is used for a purchase worth less than its face value, no change or credit is given.
-
We can't replace vouchers that are lost, stolen or used without your permission once they've been issued.
8. Pricing and payment
Prices shown on our website and in the studio are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. The price you pay is the price displayed at the time you make your booking or purchase.
Payments are taken securely through Square and Lightspeed. We don't store your full card details. Please see the payment provider's own terms for details of how the transaction is processed.
If we discover that the price of a product or session has been displayed incorrectly, we'll let you know as soon as possible. We're not obliged to fulfil an order at an incorrect price and may offer you the correct price or cancel the order.
We reserve the right to end our agreement with you if you fail to make a payment when due, if you breach these terms, or if we reasonably suspect fraudulent or illegal activity.
9. Our website
We do our best to make sure the information on our website is accurate, but we can't guarantee that everything will always be error-free. Colours of pottery and glazes shown online may vary slightly from the actual product.
We reserve the right to update prices, products, services and content on our website without prior notice.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law.
Subject to the above:
-
We're not liable for any errors or omissions on our website.
-
We're not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of our services.
-
Our total liability for any claim arising from a booking or purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that booking or purchase.
We take reasonable steps to keep customer data secure (see our Privacy Policy), but we can't be held liable in the unlikely event of a security breach beyond our reasonable control.
11. Events outside our control (force majeure)
We're not responsible for failing to perform our obligations if it's caused by events outside our reasonable control — for example: government action, new or amended legislation, fire, flood, severe weather, power failure, illness affecting key staff, strikes, supplier failures, or other emergencies.
In such cases, we'll do our best to let you know promptly and arrange a rescheduled booking or refund where appropriate.
12. Personal information
Information about how we collect, use and protect your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one in force on the date you made the booking. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
